After 4 wonderful years of hard work, sleepless nights, endless laughter, good times, teaching, volunteering, reflecting, Just Dance 3, and procrastination, I finally graduated college!!!  I am now the proud owner of a bachelor's degree, and I'm going to apply for my teaching credential next week.  :)  

Honestly the reality of graduation and moving out of our house never really hit me, even when I was eagerly walking across the stage to receive my diploma.  This was due partly because I was student teaching and didn't have finals, as well as the fact that I'm starting grad school at the same college 6 weeks from now.  The reality didn't hit me until last night, when my boyfriend texted me that he cried during his whole bike ride home since he was the last one to leave the house that the 7 of us shared.  That made me start sobbing uncontrollably during dinner.

Today we feel better though.  It just sucks that we live apart now.  But we love each other very much and will visit often like tomorrow, yay!.  The end of the year was weird.  We don't get along with 2 of my housemates anymore...the friendships we had are forever scared by them.  But the other housemates are wonderful and a godsend.  And graduation was beautiful, I graduated with honors and got to say goodbye to many of my good friends.  Looking at pictures on FB makes me feel a lot better.  Like this one:



Now I have 6 weeks of summer before I hand my life over to the grad program for the next 2 years.  I'm indescribably excited.  This is sincerely one of the few things in life I felt like I have ever earned...getting myself into grad school.  I don't say this often, but, I am truly proud of myself.  c:





So on Wed. May, 2nd my bf and I went to see Coldplay at the Hollywood Bowl.  It was fucking awesome.  Best.show.ever.  They were amazing live, as was expected, and the light effects were just off the charts.  We got wrist bands when we entered, which turned out to be a part of the show.  During certain songs the technicians would turn on our wrist bands, so as we looked down into the crowd of tens of thousands of people, all we could see was blackness but thousands of blue, green, red, yellow, pink, and white lights.  It was like looking at Christmas lights in a dark bush.  But thousands of them.  My bracelet as well as my bf's was green.  We get sad when we look at them now and know that they'll never turn on again.



Before the concert, a nice man was handing out little yellow glow sticks for free, just asking for donations.  So my bf and I each had one, and when the song Yellow came on, the crowd unanimously took them out and waved them in the air during the entire song.  It was only our section which had them, which was awesome for being nosebleed seats hahaha.  Then at the end of the song, Chris Martin (lead singer) was like, "Those lights look fucking awesome up there man.  *points* Look at those people up there..." So the entire crowd looked at us and we cheered frantically and waved them even harder.  You can hear it here, at 5:47 [link] .  Then people started throwing them downward so it looked like shooting stars (which hit a lot of people on the head haha).

I could go on and on about how mindblowingly awesome the concert was, but you can youtube it and see it for yourself.  The best part of the night for me was when I found a pink confetti butterfly on the ground by the parking lot, because my bf was truly upset that he didn't get one of their trademark butterflies, which was one of his biggest motivations for going to the concert.  And now he has one.  ♥
